GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Charity

Ireland’s Finest is committed to giving back to the community that is integral to its success. Since our founding in 1995 as a commercial and residential painting service, we ensure we give back by sponsoring charitable events or donating our time and painting expertise to help worthy causes. We support a variety of local charities including educational programs, Breastsavers, Anchor Center for the Blind Children, Denver Active 2030 and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Ireland’s Finest Inc. launched its “Hard Times, Soft Hearts” program on September 1st, 2011. This program encourages people in the Denver and Greater Denver areas to nominate worthy candidates through our website. Candidates are people that have fallen on hard times, are low-income residents or individuals that give selflessly back to their community.

The program is now accepting nominations! Applications are rolling and we announce a winner at the end of each year. If you are interested in nominating an organization, family or individual, please complete the application below.

NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION

Groundwork Ranch

Groundwork Ranch is a nonprofit organization in Louisville, Colorado dedicated to providing equine-assisted learning programs that are empowering, engaging, and effective.

In order to show our support, we decided to donate all labor on a project to paint the Groundwork Ranch barn. Our friends, Colored Red, partnered with us as well, and donating the materials, primer, and Benjamin Moore paint.

A History of Charitable Giving

Our first inaugural year of Hard Times Soft Hearts was a great success with the full exterior renovation of the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church being the first winner which also doubled at the time as a women’s homeless center. We were surprised when the City and County of Denver proclaimed that September 17 of that year would be known as “Hard Times Soft Hearts” day! They recognized the hard work we had put into this program and also acknowledged our partners in the initiative who provided additional services such as carpentry, gutter installation, welding and trash removal. We were very fortunate to have Benjamin Moore Paints, Burning Metal Welding, Weaver Construction, Weaver Custom Contracting, Mile High Gutters, Signs by Tomorrow and Denver Disposal as partners throughout this process and thank them for their participation!

In addition to the honor of being recognized for our work in the community, we were pleasantly surprised by a visit from Jon Bowman of Fox 31 News who shot a story about Hard Times Soft Hearts (HTSH). Jon had originally supported us by reporting on the project when we first opened the contest to nominees. Irish founder of Ireland’s Finest, Andrew Toole, was interviewed, and when asked why a regional painting contractor in Denver wanted to take on such a large project, Andrew said, “Denver has so good to us over the years, we want to give back to the community that has given so much to us.”

Since our first project more than a decade ago, we have continued in the fine tradition of giving back to our community including providing 296 hours of labor toward painting towards non-profit interiors of wonderful organizations like The Tennyson Center for Children, with Benjamin Moore continuing graciously to donate paint for needed projects.

Andrew is right. Ireland’s Finest recognizes and appreciates the neighborhoods; it’s residents and businesses that make us a successful and professional commercial and residential painting contractor. We couldn’t do it without their support.

We have been a professional residential and commercial painting contractor here in Denver for over 30 years and we are honored to do what we can to give back.
