Nollaig Shona duit (pronounced Noll-igg Honna ditch) = Happy Christmas to you (singular)
Nollaig Shona daoibh (pronounced Noll-igg Honna deave) = Happy Christmas to you (plural)
Beannachtaí na Nollag (no ‘i’ because it’s a genitive) (pronounced Bann-ach-tee naa Noll-agg) = Christmas Greetings
Beannachtaí an tSéasúir (pronounced Bann-ach-tee un chea-sure) = Season’s Greetings
Athbhliain faoi mhaise duit (pronounced Aa-vlane fwee whaisha ditch) = A prosperous New Year to you (singular)
Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh (pronounced Aa-vlane fwee whaisha deave) = A prosperous New Year to you (plural)
Bliain úr faoi shéan is faoi mhaise duit (pronounced Bliane oor fwee yan iss fwee whaisha ditch) = A pleasant and prosperous New Year to you (singular)
