We here at Ireland’s Finest are launching our “Hard Times, Soft Hearts” contest again!! The contest encourages people in the Denver area to tell us the story of individuals or businesses that have fallen on hard times. These worthy candidates would qualify for a free exterior painting. The candidates’ profiles we hope to receive this year are people that had come into a difficult period, are low-income residents or give selflessly back to their community. The contest is accepting nominations through February 28th, 2013 and the actual painting of the winner’s house will now start in the Spring of 2013.
Giving back to the local community is what Ireland’s Finest set out to do when we came up with our “Hard Times Soft Hearts” contest. We have been a professional residential and commercial painting contractor here in Denver for over 15 years so we wanted to give back to the community that has supported us over the years. “We are very excited to be lucky enough to do Hard Times Soft Hearts again this year,” said Andrew Toole, Ireland’s Finest’s owner. “We had a great inaugural contest last year that really gave us the opportunity to help a worthy organization in New Jerusalem.”
Last year, we chose the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, which doubles as a homeless shelter for women, to receive a free exterior painting facelift of their church. We provided all the painting labor while Benjamin Moore Paints participated by donating all the paint. In addition, we expanded the work to include carpentry, welding, gutter installation and trash removal. We reached out to other local contractors to provide these services for New Jerusalem. They included Burning Metal Welding, Weaver Construction, Weaver Custom Contracting, Signs by Tomorrow, Mile High Gutters and Denver Disposal.
If you know anyone that could use a free exterior house painting, nominate them at the contest page on our website here. We want to hear those stories!
